Guide for sending artwork to print ring crown caps

Printing is on a "silver coloured" tinplate steel or on a "grey coloured" TFS steel using the OFFSET printing method.

To reach best print quality send scalable vector graphic files (*.ai, *.fh, *.eps). This means the graphics consist of vectors or paths. Vector graphics being scalable make possible a clean high quality print.

When using Photoshop separate layers for every colour should be created. Embedded images and files should be sent with the document. When working with Corel Draw the file should be exported in the illustrator format (*.ai).

When only images or scans are available these should be saved as in *.tiff or *.eps format with a resolution of 330ppi.

Monochrome images or line art should have a resolution of 1200ppi. Photorealistic graphics should have a minimum 300ppi in four colour CMYK mode.

Fonts

Fonts that are used in the artwork must be sent with the files. Send the font suitcase or save the fonts as pathes or curves or outlines depending on software used.

Line width

The resolution needed is 60 lines/cm (150 lines/inch).

Colours

Colours are printed as spot colours or process colours or a combination of spot & process. Describe the spot colours with a Pantone PMS colour number and inform the process colours using the 4-colour system CMYK.

Opaque or Transparent printing

Colours are printed as an opaque ink (like on paper) or as a transparent ink (metalic / grain of metal visible). Transparent looks matt when printed directly on to TFS-metal sheets and shinier when printed on TP-metal sheets. Let us know how the decoration is to be printed.

Gloss or Matt printed ink option

Gloss is the standard finish for all printings. As an option matt finish can be printed. Matt printing is possible in most colours, black and other dark colours are popular. If you want a matt finish ask more details.
