A new product within an hour!

Only a minor technical modification of a crown cork capping machine is needed to create a new product with a ring crown cap. It takes less than 2 days to make the initial modifications. Thereafter the changeover from the crown cork bottle cap to a ring crown cap takes between 15 to 60 minutes depending on the crown cork machine.

Finn-Korkki has been designing and manufacturing ring crown cap equipment since 1979. We supply customers with ring crown cap equipment, a supervised installation and operator training when necessary. A conversion includes a modification to the sealing head system, a ring crown cap applier, the bottle cap chute and a sorting hopper to orientate the ring crown cap. Our equipment using RingCrown Technology enables the same closing machine to use both crown corks and ring crown bottle caps.

The RingCrown Technology ring pull cap equipment operates at the same sealing speeds as a crown cork system.

Sorting Hopper for ring crown caps

Ring crown cap equipment includes a sorting hopper that insures the ring crown cap is orientated correctly. Ring crown cap hoppers are available in a range of sizes to match the crown capper to be modified. The feeder and sorting hopper can be used with different sizes and types of ring crown cap, such as RingCrown 26mm and RipCap 42mm. RingCrown technolgy equipment has the benefit of a short change over time between different types of ring crown cap.

Ring crown cap sealing heads for most makes of crown cappers

Sealing heads are available for most makes of crown cappers. Capping machines from Krones, KHS, Arol, Simonazzi, Melegari, H&K, SEN, Nagema and many others have been converted to use ring crown caps. RingCrown technology makes available sealing heads for glass, plastic and metal bottles. Also modified RingCrown sealing heads are available for different bottle shapes such as ´stubby´ bottle designs.

Ring crown cap chute for different sizes of ring pull cap

After sorting ring crown caps are transported in the cap chute. The bottle caps move under the force of compressed air and gravity.

Before sorting ring crown caps are often transported by the existing magnetic, belt or blow tube cap transport systems as used for crown cork bottle caps. RipCap closures require a blow tube or belt cap transport system.

The RingCrown / RipCap ring pull cap applier

The ring crown cap applier maintains a hygienic process through the early capping of the bottle. Ring crown bottle caps are kept secure, on the bottle, before sealing with the use of a metal plate positioned just above the Ring Crown cap and bottle.

Sealing of metal and plastic bottles with ring crown caps

Thanks to special sealing heads and equipment metal and plastic bottles can be sealed with ring crown caps, such as RingCrown or RipCap. The sealing is at a very low top pressure to prevent the bottle from being crushed during sealing.
