A new product within an hour!

Only a minor technical modification of a crown cork closing machine is needed to create a new product with a RingCrown bottle cap. This takes less than a day for the initial modification. Thereafter the changeover from the crown cork bottle cap to RingCrown - the ring pull cap - takes between 15 to 60 minutes depending on the closing machine.

Finn-Korkki supplies its customers with a RingCrown Conversion Kit. The conversion kit includes a modification to the sealing head system, a ring pull cap applier, the bottle cap chute and a sorting hopper to orientate the ring pull cap. Our RingCrown conversion kit enables the use of the same closing machine for both Crown cap and RingCrown bottle closures.

Once the equipment has been converted bottlers have three options available to them: fitting standard crown cork bottle caps on to glass bottles, fitting RingCrown bottle caps on to plastic bottles or fitting RingCrown - the ring pull cap - on to glass bottles.

The RingCrown bottle capping sealing system operates at the same sealing speeds as a Crown cap system.

The RingCrown and RipCap conversion kit includes a sorting hopper that insures the ring pull cap is orientated correctly. Ring pull cap hoppers are available in a range of sizes to match the crown capper to be modified. The feeder and sorting hopper can be used with different sizes and types of ring pull cap, such as RingCrown and RipCap.

Ring pull cap sealing heads for most makes of crown cappers.

Sealing heads are available for most makes of crown cappers. Capping machines from Krones, KHS, Arol, Simonazzi, Melegari, H&K, SEN and many others have been converted to use ring pull caps. RingCrown ring pull sealing heads for sealing to glass, plastic and metal bottles are available. Also modified RingCrown sealing heads are available for different bottle shapes such as ´stubby´ bottle designs.

After sorting RingCrown / RipCap ring pull caps are transported in the cap chute.
Caps move under the force of compressed air and gravity.

Before sorting RingCrown ring pull caps are normally transported by the existing magnetic, belt or blow tube cap transport systems as used for crown cork bottle caps. RipCap closures require a blow tube or belt cap transport system.

The RingCrown ring pull cap applier maintains a hygienic process through the early capping of the bottle. Ring pull bottle caps are kept secure, on the bottle, before sealing with the use of a metal plate positioned just above the RingCrown cap and bottle.

Sealing of metal and plastic bottles with RingCrown bottle caps.

Thanks to special sealing heads and equipment metal and plastic bottles can be sealed with ring pull caps, such as RingCrown or RipCap. The sealing is at a very low top pressure to prevent the bottle from being crushed during sealing.
